Rachel strives to help others feel confident in their financial situation by first understanding their current financial situation. After discussing their vision for retirement, she works to design an achievable, sustainable retirement plan and builds a portfolio to support it. She empowers her clients to create the life they want, on their terms.
Starting her career in the financial planning industry in 2002, Rachel continues to prove she is a great resource of knowledge for her clients and her team. She joined the firm in 2005 and continues to provide sound strategies for her clients. Her passion for financial planning is evident and in 2020 she was offered a partnership role with the firm.

Rachel Wood earned the AIF® Designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies in 2016. The AIF® Designation certifies she has specialized knowledge of fiduciary standards of care and their application to the investment management process.

Scott began his career in the financial service industry in 2000, joining Legacy Financial Group in 2010.
With a focus on holistic financial planning, Scott helps his clients to protect themselves against a “financial blindside.” He firmly believes that a systematic approach to wealth management and goal setting are the starting points to their financial success. This attention to detail is one of the ways he helps his clients find comfort and confidence to live their day-to-day lives, and help them work toward their financial goals.
Scott is very active in the community. He and his family have opened their home to numerous children through the Iowa DHS Foster Parent system. Scott serves on the Iowa Supreme Court Grievance Commission, as well as the Board of the Dragoon Trail Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America (Ankeny Ikes). He also serves as the Iowa Section Coordinator of the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA).
He and his wife, Wendy, have been married since 1996 and have two children - daughter, Peyton, and their son, Marcus. They live in Des Moines where they enjoy entertaining family and friends.
